YouTubeSo out of Orlando, FL (about an 1 east of where I live) the local, national, internet and blogging media has been going crazy over the Casey Anthony case.
If you’re not familiar with, or haven’t heard about the case then I encourage you to head over to yahoo news and get caught up. Long story short Ms. Anthony allegedly dropped her daughter, Caylee off at the babysitters house. The story gets long and dramatic here, which is why I encourage you to check out the various news articles related to it. Anyway, apparently the baby disappears, and Casey fails to report it for well over a month. The baby was apparently last seen on or around June 15th and Casey’s mother did not report the incident until like July 15th. Casey has also allegedly been uncooperative with the Orange County Sheriff’s office who are investigating the disappearance of her daughter. She was placed in jail for Child Neglect charges, tampering with an investigation and a couple other charges, none of which convict her of any crime related to the disappearance of her child, outside of the the neglect of not reporting her disappearance. The judge set her bail at a record high $ 500,000 dollars of which a bounty hunter and bailsbond man from California finally posted for her. She is now out of jail with one of those ankle monitors.
I have no affiliation with the family, I have absolutely no idea who Casey Anthony is. I’ve never met any of the Anthony family and probably never will. I don’t know the intricate details of the case, all I know is what the media has chosen to tell us.
I believe though, in my gut, and I have absolutely no idea why, that Casey Anthony has not committed any crime as it relates to the disappearance of her daughter. For some reason, I feel like while the media and most of the general public has already convicted her of murder, that this baby girl is alive somewhere. Something tells me that this mother is truly afraid of whoever it is that has her kid and this is why she has acted in the manner that we’ve been told she’s acted in. I do believe that she has been somewhat irresponsible in how she has handled this situation, but I think that we have been VERY quick to blame her for the death of her baby and that we are wrong for doing so.
I could be completely wrong, I certainly hope I’m not.
The point of the post is this: I do not, nor does anyone not related to the family or the case have any idea what has happened, what is happening or what did happen. WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT WHAT-SO-EVER TO PLACE A GUILTY VERDICT ON CASEY ANTHONY. I hope that we soon find out what has happened to Caylee, I hope that if she has indeed been kidnapped that the people who have tortured this family come forward quickly and are brought to justice just as swiftly as we have seemingly tried to bring Casey Anthony to justice. I also hope that Casey receives some sort of counseling. I’m not sure what is going through her head, but clearly something is making her act in a manner that isn’t necessarily responsible and it it causing a tremendous shadow of doubt to be cast upon her.
That’s just my 35 cents.

she may not have killed her but she knows what happened. The DNA resuts came back in and they found Caylee’s DNA in her car. You may want to write another blog

Hi, I too believe in the presumption of innocense until proven guilty. It is increasingly hard to believe Casey is ‘innocent’ with the evidence that comes to light each day. Particularly in regards to the hair and stain now believed to be from a decomposing Caylee found in the trunk of Casey’s car. Now, I suppose as the grandparents say, it is possible someone else mysteriously put a ‘body’ in the trunk of Casey’s car at the impound lot. They do not even believe it to be Caylee’s body but that of someone else. DNA is hard to beat. Add all the little pieces together and Casey has done something to this child. I too have a bi-polar child, thankfully she is not as irresponsible as Casey is, but I recognize some of the irresponsible behavior. Fits of anger, cussing the parents, pretty classical bi-polar behavior. What is alarming is Casey’s complete lack of concern over her daughter, again another ‘tell-tale’ sign that she is hiding something. She knows that child is not alive and not coming home so no need to ’search’. In accordance with our rights we need to allow her the presumption of innocence until proven guilty but it is getting harder each day.

of people are wrongfully arrested and convicted every year because of the …” evidence ” For God’s sake, we went to War… but again “We” had “evidence”! Do you still believe everything the media and the news says? Please , Do me a favor and start thinking ! Leave Casey and her family alone!

For all the people that think Caylee is alive and Casey is not guilty, what cave have you people been living in. Casey lied abut everything, why? So what you are saying she would rather be convicted of murder and spend the rest of her life in jail or better yet be put to death, which I hope then tell the truth and all she knows. As far as the Ramsey’s go, they didn’t lie about everything. And what about Casey’s brother who told the bounty hunter, if Casey tells you where the body is will you bail her out? What story are you watching or reading? Casey killed Caylee, weather it be by accident or just plain murder, she did it. And if it was by accident then why didn’t she call someone instead of probably burying the poor little girl some place in the swamp. Parents are supposed to protect their children no matter what. Leave the cave and listen to the evidence.

I think we all hope that Caylee is alive but think back to the first 911 call made by Cindi. Caylee had been missing for about a month. And Cindi is calling the police to have Casey arrested because she stole money and a car. Meanwhile Casey has been out partying with no concern for her daughter. The facts are that Casey has stolen money, a car, lied about the paternity of Caylee and other lies to numerous to mention. This is a young woman who has never been held accountable for any of her actions until now. And her actions got more and more serious. As a mother and grandmother I think the answers to questions and the behaviors of this family are so wierd. It is not hard to follow the path of the facts, and to see that something is really amiss here.

OK !!!!OK!!!!! I have had enough with these “innocent until proven guilty” advocates on these blogs!
She had the right to plead “the fifth” and it was her very own right, that she chose NOT to.
To Vicki and Lisa I don’t get it? You are anti “freedom of speech” yet you’re “innocent until proven guilty” advocates, while you choose to exercise your own right to free speech? That’s a little hypocritical isn’t it? We are talking about “rights” here, are we not?
I not only agree with the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. I wish to have this right honored for me too, if ever needed. I agree with others in this blog who are sick of the circus and wish that Cindy Anthony stop fueling this fire! Let me put your mind at rest about Casey and the other Anthony’s rights.
1). She will have a fair trial! I own a business and on occasion and out of pure curiosity, I will ask my customers things like “Have you heard anything about that missing girl in Florida?”, and to my utter surprise, most all of their responses are “No, I don’t watch the news” or “I only watch the political news” and then we drop the subject. They WILL find an impartial jury, believe it or not, and she WILL have her fair trial. If not, the case will be dismissed or she will receive an acquittal. How can you say she is not receiving her rights “innocent until proven guilty” when none of this has taken place yet?
2) Sorry, I have to through this pun in here about the war comment that was made….No one is “water boarding” the Anthony’s into feeding the media with lies and changing their stories or forcing them into misguiding the police (obstruction). The Anthony’s willingly make these statements and actually are bringing the circus about themselves. The Anthony’s are the ones creating the circus. They are exercising their right to free speech, but how can I have respect for anyone who is offering one contradiction after another . They have changed their stories, in documented footage (proof enough for me), on several occasions about several different issues regarding this case. The Anthony’s came to the general public through the media, asking us for help and they consistently deceive us. Now, now, now…. Tell me, how can I not be angry with them? The media did not make this crap up, all they did was air it. How can you not believe what the media is reporting, when the media is true and actual footage, only showing the actual footage and what all of the Anthony’s are saying right out of their own mouths. As far as the Anthony’s are concerned, in my very own opinion, they are creating their own “war” and “circus”.
3) The same rights in which I cherish and exercise myself, free speech (my personal favorite), are the same rights in which everyone in the Anthony family and these bloggers choose to exercises, nothing more. They will be the same rights which will possibly weigh against the Anthony’s in court, which by the way, they do have the right to remain silent, yet unfortunately for me, they don’t exercise it enough.
4) Casey is out on bail until her day in court, is she not? Just as anyone else would be, and I would expect nothing less than that right for myself if I were accused of something. A judge has the right to issue an amount of bail within very the guidelines in which “We the people” determine. These guidelines are very specific by state and these guidelines are based upon the type of crime, the amount of evidence involved against the accused, the person’s character and risk of flight. Let’s face it. She led the investigators around in circles in her personal three ringed “circus” of lies in fantasy world…correction the name of that park is Universal Studios. <-fact. She admitted these were lies, might I add, on her own free will. That is obstruction of justice and she admitted her guilt to it! That doesn’t do much for her character, in court, at her bond hearing either, now does it?
5) From what I have read in almost every blog, most of the public appear to only be angry about the web of lies spun by Casey herself, which at this point she has admitted her own guilt of lying (which would be the obstruction of justice charges). Then there are the Anthony’s lying on video tape several times, caught in the act! Everyone is entitled to their opinion and the right of free speech. The Anthony’s are entitled to lie, as long as they are not obstructing justice. Which I feel they have done. It is caught on tape. The obvious and blatant deceit by the Anthony’s themselves (the videoed contradictions) appear to be what these bloggers are focusing their anger toward. Wasting tax payer’s money etc…. People have a right to voice their opinions and theories with free thought (view point), expression and free speech.
6) “Leave Casey and her family alone”. I’m pretty sure these bloggers are not the individuals whom are chanting outside her Florida home, calling their house etc…Although the protesters do actually have rights too (with local permit of course, costs about $20). I’m pretty sure that right is called “The right to protest” or “Freedom of assembly” uhhh yeah…something like that.
I’m not judging her guilt or innocence because I have not been called to jury duty, and if I were, I would clearly express that I am already informed of the case and have already formed my own opinions. Jury duty sucks anyways. With that said, I would be dismissed and the next person would be interviewed. I will however, express whatever thoughts, theories or any other thing I feel as though I must express, however I choose and when I choose outside that court room. This is a blog intended for what it is being used for, to express opinions and exercise our rights. This is obviously not a court room. So yes, Casey is innocent until proven guilty.
7) Casey has the right to counsel (an attorney) which I have noticed that she has exercised. No one has taken that right away from her.
I would NEVER be on this jury. and personally if the evidence is presented to a jury, and they declare her guilt of these crimes; obstruction of justice, child neglect and or fraudulent checks I personally feel that she should get the maximum time in jail……Florida should be just like California 3 strikes and your OUT for good and what the other prisoners do with her after that, well quite frankly, I could care less!
If they charge Casey with murder and a jury find her guilty. I hope she gets the CHAIR. I bet your glad I’m not a voter in your state!
Thank God I live in a country where I can express all of this! I truly hope they continue to honor every single one of Casey Anthony’s “rights”, as I am sure they will. Simply because, I would hate to see them botch up the case. I sure enjoy my own rights and it would be a shame if I lived in a country in which I would have to live in fear to express them!
In my opinion, which I am free to express… I feel that if the evidence is TRUE and CORRECT then Casey Anthony is probably guilty, based upon her defense in which she willing presented, and the evidence mounting against her, which was presented before me on this day of…..
I am actually tired of expressing my “free speech right” tonight and I will head onto bed. If you need any further assistance on actual lies just do your homework for a minute and google actual video footage of Cindy Anthony and watch the contradictions for yourself or you can read the 427 pages of documents, as I have, to view Casey’s lies. They have the nerve to ask for money- repeatedly on the camera and online. Tisk, tisk tisk. Shame on them, asking ME (the general public) for money and then lying to ME. While they waste tax payers money sending the police in circles. Yes, I am angry with them. In my opinion Cindy and George should have charges pressed on them too, but hey, who am I? I’m just a blogger.

HAS ANYONE THOUGHT THAT MAYBE SHE WAS NEAR THE AIRPORT BECAUSE SHE WAS SHIPPING EITHER HER DAUGHTER IN THE THEORY SHE SOLD HER POSSIBLY TO A FOREIN COUNTRY OR MAYBE SHIPPING HER “BODY” WHICH IS MAYBE WHY IT CAN’T BE FOUND? I KNOW THE MEDIA CAN TWIST THINGS AROUND BUT NONE OF CASEY ANTHONY’S ACTIONS LOOKS ANYTHING CLOSE TO HER BEING INNOCENT. OK SHE WAS AFRAID OR IS AFRAID OF WHOEVER IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE HER DAUGHTER BUT DOES THAT REQUIRE THE PARTYING AND THE LYING. THE LYING DOESN’T JIVE WITH SOMEONE AFRAID FOR THEIR DAUGHTER’S LIFE AT ALL. OK SO THE PEOPLE SAID YOU BETTER NOT GO TO THE POLICE, WHY DIDN’T THE BOYFRIND KNOW WHY DIDN’T ANYONE KNOW? SHE JUST SAID “OK” AND WENT ABOUT HER BUSINESS? i believe lttle angel caylee is gone and I believe the one to hold teh key to teh truth is casey.I don’t know but i feel like the baby was in teh ayred dead, casey placed her in the trunk and drove to a swampy area and dumped ehr to hide her fault but i can be wrong. however, i believe she told cindy anthony already but shes lying for her to save her from jail and probley told her poor husband whom i feel most sorry for, go along with me and what I say.I can not blame him one bit for egtting po’d at protesters on his lawn,it’s getting awful and is totally not right.I think casey annthony will break soon, i hope and maybe ehr and cindy will sharwe a cell because i think her mother knowns more then shes letting on.I hope george has enough strangth to move on after all this and just be on his own, i believe they got him caught in the middle and he can’t turn away, being a former deputiy his job is to up hold the law, he is stuck in a rock and hard place now.

We would all like to believe little Caylee is alive and coming home. That doesn’t seem likely. Have YOU read all the news reports? You seem very naive. Casey may not have killed the little girl, but she is certainly not innocent. It is admirable that you believe Casey is innocent, but “gut feeling” is hardly evidence in a murder investigation.

Do you know what i find to be of most interesting this case? The presumption of innocence afforded to Casey Anthony. Most people feel she has had some involvement, ie, that she failed to report & lied to police, that the child met with a fatal accident in her care & she panicked & covered it up-
Personally I fail to understand how/why anyone could/would perceive Caylee Anthony’s disapperance is directly as resultant of an accident. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO SUPPORT THIS AS FACT-If Caylee was hurt/injured-there would some be evidence to suggest this as an occurence. If in fact this was an accident, why didnt her mom just call 911- what still prevents the mother of the child from revealing this to be the actuality of this case?-Surely Casey Anthony would at this point readily admit to this tragic event-It is not a criminal offence if her daughter perishd as a result of an accident. An accident is an accident-It is NOBODY’S FAULT-
I think if people reflect upon the facts in this case- If people can put aside/ leave aside-all the emotional aspect of this thing-one can determine what accounts as fact, & what accounts as fiction. I am not hear to pass judgement or sentence in this case-I would simply like to address the fact that the majority of us feel inclined to believe that she is guilty of something-neglect, obstrution, lying, ect., But most everybody prefers to stop short-THERE ARE NOT SO MANY AMONGST US WHOM WILL READILY SUGGEST THAT PURSANT TO THE FACTS-THAT she abused this child, either she strangled, battered, kicked, inflicted mortal wounds upon this baby child-we DO NOT WANT TO BELIEVE THAT THIS MOTHER COULD INFLICT SUCH BRUTALITY UPON HER CHILD-we would all prefer to view this case, as neglect, as an acciden, as involuntary manslaughter.
I personally feel Anthony is guilty of murder-I feel absolutely certain that in a fit of rage, she murdered the child-the anger & frustration may not have been directed at the child-it may well have been directed at the parents-but the child due to her vulnerability-became the target. I think this is the reality of the situtation here-I feel that the absence of a body, or the childs remains is significant, because it suggests that Caylee Anthony’s little body if it should surface would reveal the truth of the atrocity visited upon her by her mother-The fact that it has not, and that the investigation had been compromised from the very outset suggests that Anthony was deliberate in her intent to thwart the investigation, she would prefer us believe the child is still alive(just as in the case of her family during the period of June 15th-July 16th while all the time, all that remains of the baby decreases steadily-this is particularly calculated, and suggests that Anthony realised that should law enforcement somehow uncover the child’s remains-It will be essentially impossible to determine a cause of death-Thus the injuries Anthony infliced on the baby may never be realised-
I have considered that the majority of us are in denial-(just as the parents have been described)-We simply do not want to believe that the child died a horrific death at the hands of her moother-we prefer “an accident”-Our sensititives, our sensibilities will not allow us to go there-Our psyche does not ascribe to the reality-but it is too terrible, too awful a thought.
I am mindful of the fact that if this child so happened to have been last seen alive in the company of a male figure-I feel with certainity that a male casey anthony figure would not be so readily afforded “the presumption of innocence”-we would almost certainly conclude that he was a pervert, a paedophile-In very many people’s eyes he would be already guilty of those and other crimes.
In all liklihood Caylee Anthony is a victim of child abuse-she met her fate as a result of child abuse-I personally feel the grandparents bear some sense of responsibility-I fail to understand why they failed to involve DCF, or some other child services organisation-There was a derelection of duty of care-Caylee Anthony was removed from their home,(the only home the child had ever known) admittedly by her legal guardian, her mother-but there were extenuating circumstances-the mother by all accounts, had been financially dependent upon her parents, thus leaving the home, she had no visible means,( the imaginary job-even the anthonys had to have been aware that she had little or no money to finance the move-) no fixed abode-where&how did the Anthonys perceive Casey & 2yr old Caylee were living???
At the end of the day, this is a tragic case of child abuse-a case that was in all eventuality totally avoidable-The grandparents, I feel had a duty to the grandchild-they were aware of the growing disregard Casey Anthony exhibited ttowards the welfare&wellbeing of this child, to my mind, they could have prevented the harm that claimed this childs life.

That is a bitter and unreasonable observation. Legally, grandparents have virtually no legal recourse if they fear for their grandchild, even if they do have evidence of abuse. The Anthony’s did not have evidence of abuse, had no reason to suspect that she was in danger, and could not have done a great deal if they had. My own parents have a dear little granddaughter who had an abusive mother. They complained to the authorities regularly. We all did. The child’s mother was addicted to prescription meds and regularly had seizures and lost consciousness when at home alone with the child. My parents took the child in for six months and protected her from the mother, who was violent, and regularly came to the house shouting and trying to break windows. After six months, the judge declared that custody must be shared, and my then 4 year old niece was forced to go home every other week, alone, with her mother. It was a harrowing time for all of us. We’re okay now.
But for heaven’s sake, back off. We’re so quick to place blame. Why? Isn’t America a democratic nation, with constitution designed to protect its citizens from unreasonable punishment? Whatever you think of her, Casey Anthony has a right to a fair trial, and guilt must be proven.
America is less civilised that it likes to think. In nations like Iraq and Afghanistan, people are frequently executed without a fair trial, and women are always the first in the firing line.
